OMNICOMM TO PARTICIPATE IN LEADING INDIAN AUTOMOTIVE TELEMATICS CONFERENCE

Pune, September 5th, 2018 – OMNICOMM, the global fuel and fleet management solution provider, is proud to announce its participation in TI Automotive 2018. TI Automotive 2018 brings together more than 650 stakeholders in the automotive industry in India, and takes place on 5-6 September in The Westin, Koregaon Park, Pune. OMNICOMM is launching an extended five-year warranty on its next-generation fuel-level sensors to coincide with this year’s event.

OMNICOMM will have an exhibition booth at TI Automotive 2018 for the fifth consecutive year. Attendees at the demo unit will get a chance to see how OMNICOMM’s fuel-level sensors work and view highly accurate measurement results from the sensors on the LLD indicator display and the OMNICOMM Online fleet management platform. OMNICOMM will also take part in a discussion panel at the conference, demonstrating the company’s commitment to supporting the development of the Indian logistics industry through technological innovations. OMNICOMM opened an office in India in 2015.

At this year’s conference, OMNICOMM will reinforce its reputation for quality products and service by launching a new extended five-year warranty on the latest generation of OMNICOMM capacitive fuel-level sensors (LLS 4 and LLS-AF 4). Mohit Mehrotra, OMNICOMM India General Manager, explains that robust and reliable IoT sensors that provide accurate fuel level information are a critical part of automotive telematics infrastructure.

“Spurred by the Goods and Services Tax Bill, better road infrastructure and an improving business climate, truck sales in India are at an all time high and double digit revenue forecasts are making headlines,” says Mehrotra. “As new investment pours into fleet modernization, the telematics industry is ready with new IoT sensors, powerful edge computing devices and algorithms that reduce information asymmetry and tightly couple rolling stock to the overall supply chain. A new and powerful wave of vehicle telematics is transforming the logistics industry. Fleet operators can redefine business models, improve fleet utilization, detect theft and inefficiencies and add to their bottom line.”

Mohit Mehrotra will be a panelist on “Vehicle Telematics: Creating New Business Experience”, a session moderated by Mr Sudeep Mehrotra from industry experts Alvarez & Marsal. Panelists will be invited to discuss how telematics solutions are redefining business models in the logistics industry. Other panelists include participants from Apollo LogiSolutions, Volvo, Pointer, Konduskar Travels and TransportHub. The panel takes place on September 6 from 2:30 to 3:15 pm.
