The Analytical Center of Omnicomm has released the results of the 5th annual research on the market of transport monitoring and tachographs in 2014. The survey was conducted in November and December last year and included 1,223 companies from Russia and CIS countries engaged in the development, manufacture, integration and sales of the systems for transport monitoring and fuel consumption control.
The study showed that the Russian market of transport telematics in quantitative terms increased by 340,000 equipped vehicles, while the growth rate relative to 2013 was negative.
The number of installations decreased by 15%. Although the research conducted last year Omnicomm already recorded zero growth rate in 2013 compared with 2012. Less noticeable downturn affected the fuel level sensor and was 5%, which is 210,000 units per year.
