On the one hand, opening of the office in India corresponds with the trend that Indian market of transport telematics is one of the fastest developing ones in the world. Researchers point that it is expected to reach 1.3 million units by 2021 (according to Frost&Sullivan). On the other hand, it is due to the fact that India has been one of the key regions for the company’s business development for several recent years. Omnicomm has been implementing a number of small and large projects with significant players in the region, and has gained a significant partner and customer base in the country. There have been more than 1500 installations of Omnicomm equipment in India up to date.
Commenting on the official launch of the office, SaravanaShekar Subramani, Country Head for India at Omnicomm pointed that: “It is the right moment to open the office in India now. As we have come to the certain point of being a rather well-known player in the region, with numerous projects, it is a lot easier to deal with partners locally. So, by having an office in one of the core regions for business development, we aim to facilitate many processes and be closer to the local partners and their needs. This step for sure broadens opportunities for various projects in India”.
Announcing the launch of the new office, Omnicomm at Telematics India had an opportunity to address many market sectors the company is working with: transportation, mining, construction, logistics. Fuel monitoring is applicable far beyond transportation, which it is widely associated with. Integration of fuel monitoring in fleet management systems in fact opens lots of new markets. Around 500 professionals came to listen to Omnicomm’s presentation at the event among which were system integrators, service providers, telematics components manufacturer, OEM’s, automotive companies, logistics and supply chain companies, transporters.
On September 28, 2017 Omnicomm participated at a large telematics event that took place in Slovakia’s Bratislava: the Telematics Conference SEEurope. With a diverse range of business exhibitors and many visitors, including key stakeholders from the world of IT, communications and transportation technologies, the conference was dedicated to issues of monetization in the telematics market. Omnicomm made a solid impression with its comeback to the European scene, its team represented by Jens Strohschneider, Chief Sales and Marketing Officer, and Dmitry Ilyin, Regional Sales Manager for Eastern and Western Europe.
Omnicomm has announced the results of the joint project with Strabag in Romania. The company reduced its monthly spending on the fleet by 30 percent thanks to Omnicomm fuel monitoring equipment.
